Since 2008, SRWR has provided services to the gas and mining industry in the areas of gas well wastewater and water resource management. Our mission is to provide environmentally sustainable solutions for wastewaters produced by gas drilling companies of the Marcellus Shale.
Taking this one step further, SRWR is initiating construction of Pennsylvania’s first wastewater treatment plant specifically supporting this growing natural gas industry. The plant will receive gas well wastewater, treat to meet Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection’s (DEP) regulatory standards for discharge of treatment gas well wastewater to less than 500 mg/L Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) and recycle clean water for successive gas well drilling operations.
As this industry expands, SRWR expects this innovation in safe handling gas well wastewater and recycling of clean water to put it at the forefront of the environmental sustainability movement in the Marcellus Shale region.
